I have been there multiple times and keep going back for the sweet habanero wings. It is a chill place downtown and they have a good mix between mexican food and some regular food like burgers, wings etc. No complaints

Don't go here. This is not real mexican restaurant. I'm glad I went with a groupon and not on a regular night out. The food is disgusting to say the least. Everything is bland. The environment is boring. The margaritas were o.k. The tortilla chips were dripping grease and not crispy at all NASTYY. The staff took forever to acknowledge we were there. Terrible terrible terrible FOOD!! and terrible experience!!

The famous "Wet Burrito" was huge and enough for several hungry people--delicious. Rice was tasty and refried beans were also marvelous with fried onions atop them.
The steak tacos were fabulous and my spouse said she'd go again anytime for more.
The appetizers were big plates of food, tasty and at a reasonable price. Not greay like many taquitos or chicken wings can be. The margaritas were tasty and very large.
Staff was VERY fast and VERY attentive. We hope it Agave Blue enjoys their downtown location for a long time to come.
WOW! I am wondering if these people ate at the same place I did! Great service, very friendly staff (very important). Great food!!! I am very picky bout my drinks, but these Margaritas are to die for! Definitely my new fav spot! Would recommend to the pickiest of restaurant goers.

Had a Groupon, so I we decided to try this place. Wish I hadn't.
Service was awful...I mean truly awful. The restaurant was loud, really loud. The acoustics were terrible and I could barely hear myself think.
The margaritas tasted like crap, the beer was warm, and nachos were made with disgusting amounts of Velveeta, and the wet burrito tasted like cat food.
Avoid at all costs and let this dive sink into obscurity. Such is the fate of a place that, even with a severely limited menu, can't seem to do anything right.
I have never heard of Agave Blue before today. I was downtown for the parade today stuck in traffic and decided to try it. Im glad i did. the place was great! good food, very friendly staff. I sat on the patio watching the floats go by drinking probably the best margarita iv ever tasted

Had Groupon coupon for 2 margaritas, 1 appetizer and 2 entrees, so decided to try it. Very disappointed even though the wait staff was nice. First the house tequila tasted like rubbing alcohol. Then after ordering and waiting for a time, the waitress came to table and said our appetizer was not available, but our entrees were ready. She asked if we wanted to re-order the appetizer. Who wants appetizer after the entree is delivered? We said no, just skip the appetizer. Then it took another 15 minutes to bring our entrees to the table, even though we were told they were ready. Food was nothing to write home about. Feel like I was just scammed out of the appetizer. Restaurant was not crowded and they appeared to have adequate staff. What's going on here? We will never go back, even for a deal.

The menu lacks mexican authenticity. The food was terrible. Everything tasted bad. Even though service was bad, the server tried to be nice. Go to taco bell instead. I eat out often and this place is perhaps one of the worse places in downtown Gainvesville. Do not waste your money. You will be disappointed.

I was excited for this place and had a coupon and everything. I got there and the menu looked decent. The chips were really good (w/lime) although the salsa was a bit tomato-y for me. The food was really bland and did not seem authentic at all..I would not recommend anyone going here nor will I be going back to this place again.
I saw this restaurant on Groupon and decided to give it a try. The food was amazing and staff was very friendly. It seems like they make their salsa fresh. I suggest trying this place out, I will be returning for sure.

This is a new restaurant in downtown Gainesville. They are very friendly and the staff is very attractive!! ;) The lighting is good, its a very chill place. I went on a game day and the place was PACKED! The margaritas are awesome and the salsa dip is fantastic. Our server was very attentive and was very sweet. I would definitely come here again.
My friends and I were excited about a new Mexican restaurant downtown so we decided to check it out.
The signage, decor and ambiance hinted that we were about to have a great meal. The menu however was a sad old story we all know about.
Tacos and burritos. Burritos and tacos.
Our server was completely useless and there wasn't a drink menu.
We passed half a dozen restaurants on the way to find parking downtown with this exact same menu for half the price.
This new "destination" would be better off charging for parking and selling tacos in the lot.
Do yourself a favor and wait until they figure things out to waste money on these bozos.
Good stuff
