Fresh, local, creative, varied food is served in what reminds me of the neighborhood eateries in New Orleans, only with more parking. I am sorry to hear of another poster's negative experience. I wonder if it depends on the server of the day or shift, because my own frequent visits have been excellent all but once.

I take everyone to Civilization for nice conversation, excellent food, decent wine selection, and something that is the antithesis of a chain experience.

The chocolate mousse is the best in town, and seasonal offerings have included pumpkin lasagna (our favorite) tasty soups, buffalo burgers, a very nice chimichurri sauce, and unexpected quiches.

Had lunch here today. Food was adequate; mixed up when trying to serve table. We were told after we had eaten that there would b e one check for party of ten. Reason: they don't like big parties cause the
cook can't keep up. THEY DID NOT TELL US THIS BEFORE HAND. A BIG INCONVIENCE AND TROUBLE MAKING CHANGE. OUR GROUP WON'T BE RETURNING AS A GROUP OR AS INDIVIDUALS.
