I gotta agree with the dude who said the owner is a psycho. He goes by Jimmy and can be polite but he went off on me and my wife after we asked for some duck sauce, twice. He just prefers to answer the phone and count the money and if you bother him he just loses it. We canceled our orders and left, never to return.

Went Too Dinee In && Fliess Were Everywhere
Food Doesn't Taste Like Its Expected Too < Teriyki Sause Is Veryy Salty && Doesn't Have Teriyki Meat. I Would Not Spend My Moneyy Here. There Nice People But The Food Disappointed me. Shrimp Spring Rolls Are Great Though.
I want to come back to eat here, since My Dad used to be an Boy Scout Ranger and him and my Mom and we would stop here to eat and the people were really nice and they were very freindly and the food was really good and I really miss it.I will be coming there from St.Augustine Florida and want to have lunch over there.Have not been there since late 80's.
Rick, its not the same owners or the same food. In the 80's and 90's it was called Golden Full and was owned by a Vietnamese family. The food was much better back then.
I have been eating at Golden Buddha in Gainesville Florida for the last ten years or so. I like everything I have tried on their menu. Tonight I had Shredded Szechwan Beef, Pan Fried Dumplings, and Hot and Sour Soup. The Szechwan Beef is spicy hot, but I was warned on the menu. The beef was tender, the cut veggies still crispy out of the wok. The soup had large chunks of mushrooms and was very nice. The dumplings are the best in Gainesville as far as I am concerned.
Stay away! This small family owned restaurant has its fans and its detractors. I have gone there off and on for 10 years but will never return. Yes, the food can be tasty but this place has been going downhill for quite awhile. The owner is a psycho, seriously (his wife and kids are nice). Their portions are getting smaller (the meat not the cheap veggies and rice). The prices have gone up. They use MSG and the health department has issued many citations and closed them down a few times. This place was once a gem but the current owner has run the business into the ground. There are too many decent Chinese take outs in Gainesville to bother with this place.
This is the best Chinese take out I have ever had! AMAZING! Their fried rice is devine, spring rolls delicious, and both egg foo young and brown sauce are to die! Love this place.
best vegetable fried rice i have ever had!!
No idea why in the world comments have been reset for this restaurant. This is the best chinese food you'll find in Gainesville outside of maybe some of the fancy samurai-style places I haven't been to. Mom and Pop run; they're always friendly and prompt with your order. It's a small place and they dont have any outside help so I would suggest getting your order to go.
Bottom line: great food and great price. Definitely recommend the chicken fried rice.
