I recently sampled some dishes from the Green Mango on Newberry Road.
The curried vegetables with tofu was predominately cauliflower and squash, with a mild and sweet curry and bit of heat in the aftertaste that lingers nicely. I enjoyed a generous portion of Chef Mahesh's Vegetable Biryani, Basmati rice with spices and and a scattering of peas, carrots and lima beans. Sometimes he adds cashews and raisins. It was very colorful and the well-spiced rice was cooked perfectly. Another nicely spiced favorite was Paneer Masala - green peppers and homemade chees cubes in a cream tomato sauce with coconut and raisins. The mild flavorful cheese had a subtle crumbly texture and contrasted nicely with the green peppers. It was mildly hot. The samosa, a classical Indian dish of fried pastry stuffed with potatos and peas, was also very satisfying, golden fried and crunchy on the outside and moist and mildly curried on the inside with a sweet chutney sauce on the side. Finally, Naan, oven baked buttered bread. It is dense and thick and slightly chewey with good flavor.

I stumbled into this place on a whim. Being a vegetarian and loving Indian food, I was excited to see a carry out that specialized in both! The food is fantastic and I love the interaction with the owner. Just as others have said, if you're in a hurry, call ahead, but I find it best to just not be in a hurry and enjoy being present. As for the price, it's not super cheap, but I usually get two meals out of it especially if I get a combo so that works out to less than $8 a meal, which is great for a fresh meal that would take me hours to prepare myself.
I've been eating here for about once a week. The food is great! The service is perfect because it feels just like home, (Panama), no such thing as fast service for freshly cooked food.
Come in, embrace the culture, ask questions, look through beautiful Indian magazines, and prepare yourself for some delicious healthy food!

A nice variety of anything-but-fast-food Indian. This is take-out. Call ahead if you are in a hurry, because they are not. But, the food reflects the time put into it.
I was very happy with my bread choices, and several others. The cashew, pineapple, vegetable dish is very good. Last time the Palak Paneer was bland, but that has not been our typical experience. We find it a tad expensive, but still worth a visit from time to time.

I was so excited to see this place open up. It's very clean, the service is wonderful, and the food is SO tasty. I think that the amount of food you get for the money is quite generous and the lunch/dinner combinations are a steal. Easily two meals in one!
They've got our business, for sure!

Great food! It is a little overpriced though, and the service was not that great. However, I would still recommend it to anyone looking for fresh, delicious, vegeterian cuisine!

You are right -- $ 8 -9 is Good but only if quantity is suffecient. But now the prices have also been hiked 25 %!!! You cannot eat there for less than $13

I don't think an average
I don't think an average $8-9 for an entree is overpriced. It's Indian, not Olive Garden.
Not a value for money
