Somebody else's mom's cooking. Not as good as your mom's, probably. The restaurant is cute,the staff is authentic, the drinks are great when they aren't over sweet. The food is OK, but missing something. I've eaten it in the restaurant and at large functions, and I think there is an amateurish quality to it. Maybe it is a simple as oil not changed enough or not at the right temperature. Sometimes, whoever is cooking gets it perfectly. But this is not at all consistent. My other complaint is there seems to be NO health consciousness. You'll search in vain for a fresh vegetable dish, or a lower fat version of something.
