I ate there for the first time last week with my friend and the ambience seemed nice enough for us to try it out. They had $5 mojito drink special which we decided to take advantage of. The drinks tasted pretty good but as I was sipping away, I find this plastic like material in mine. My friend suggested that I send the drink back and I didn’t think it was that big of a deal until I found another piece at which point I nicely explained the situation to the waitress. Well, she brings the same drink back with the plastic pieces taken out saying that the bartender (who only had a couple of ppl to serve at the bar) wouldn’t allow her to give me another drink because they were pieces of lime!!!!!! I’m completely taken aback (and a little disgusted at the thought that the bartender may have used her fingers to get whatever it was out of my drink!) as this has never happened before where the restaurant refused to replace a food/drink item. I try to get over this and go about my dinner when few mins later the manager comes to our table and defensively states, “So I heard you ladies don’t like lime in your mojitos”!!! I’m APPALLED at his attitude and reply, “No, we just don’t like inedible pieces in our drink”. He still does not offer to give me another drink or refund my money and asks if the drink is okay. Well, your employee refused to give me another one and you haven’t made any compensatory suggestions either so I guess it’ll have to be okay! How freaking rude…I’ve had lime before in my life but not inedible limes so I’m not sure where these people are getting their supplies from. The food sucked as well…I ordered the veggie sandwich with pepper jack cheese on a baguette. The bread was so oily that I could have used it for some kind of hair treatment and it didn’t even have pepper jack cheese! At this point, I’m totally over this restaurant and don’t even care to say anything about it because they don’t care anyways! Needless to say…I’m NEVER going back to this place and would recommend the same but you can decide for yourself.
Bad Food, Bad Service, and Bad Attitude!
