The food here is amazing. While the food preperation does take a long time, it's because everything is made fresh. The people are friendly and the food is superb.

This is by far one of the best restaurants in Gainesville. We are lucky to have a family owned Kosher, Jewish deli in our fair city. The family is extremely friendly and nice. Be sure to take time to get to know them, you will feel extremely glad that you did.

The brand new Sababa Israeli Deli, a stone's throw from Shands at AGH, is a treasure. The menu is not extensive, but the preparation must be, because everything is fresh, fresh,fresh. I've eaten four of the entrees, and enjoyed all of them. Their falafel is the best in town, and the salads are delightful. My favorite of the salads may be the carrot, although the sliced eggplant salad is also excellent. I hope eventually the bottled beverages will be replaced, but the recipes and careful hand preparation should stay exactly as they are. Oh,I should mention the owners are friendly and the prices are reasonable. What more can you expect?
